Phoenix Backpackers was originally established in 1879 as Phoenix Hotel, “First-class Accommodation for Pleasure Parties visiting the Sea-side”. General Dealer and Fisheries. It has since undergone extensive renovations and is budged minded establishment where a large treed garden welcomes you to your temporary haven. The high ceilinged and spacious rooms have large bunk beds on wooden floors, and are fitted with clean linen which is regularly changed for guests that spend more than a few nights.
Walking through the courtyard you will find the entertainment area ideal for braai`s, socializing and a game of pool. A short stroll will take you to the main beach, surf shops, restaurants and coffee shops, the vibrant night-life is also just a short walk from the Phoenix Backpackers.
