Surfer’s Haven provides guests with three self-catering units. Each unit consists of three en-suite bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, open-plan living room and a balcony with a barbecue area. All units sleep two to six people.

The Lodge offers clean, comfortable, budget accommodation with quality, duvets, pillows and sheets supplied with ample bathroom facilities offering dorms, twin rooms, en-suite double room and camping facilities around the bon fire. There is private girls only bathroom and dorms available for privacy and comfort of the ladies. Fully equipped self-catering kitchen available or just order some traditionally cooked meals from the restaurant that also caters for vegetarians. Laundry pick-up services are available. Take a stroll from the lodge to the main beach in search of dolphins and Whales on your way to a must do Surf Lesson by qualified instructors. While you out there being active why not go Sand Boarding, Enjoy Horse Riding along miles of unspoiled beaches, Kite or Windsurf, Join a Township Tour, Hug a Lion Cub, do the highest Bungee Jump in the world or take a tour to one of many game farms in the area like the Addo Elephant Park or just relax on the beach soaking up the sun. 

After all these activities why not relax in the bar enjoying a drink over a game of pool or just chatting about your day with the rest of the crowd. Hard Rock Backpackers is conveniently situated close to Magnatubes, Boneyards, and of course Supertubes – home of the annual Billabong ASP Pro Series, and known as the best right-hand point break in the world. We’re also situated incredibly close to retail supermarkets, many restaurants and coffee shops, surf stores, pubs, tattoo parlours, doctors, pharmacies, and liquor stores.

Super tubes Guest House: This luxury Tuscan styled house offers six rooms, three rooms with private balcony and two rooms opening up in the garden, overlooking the ocean and passing dolphins. There is also one room without balcony and sea view, with a shower only, at a discounted rate.

The downstairs patio offers the opportunity to savor a uniquely South African barbeque with a panoramic view of the ocean in the background. Supertubes Self-catering House: The perfect self-catering house for that Idealic family getaway. This three bedroom, three bathroom house has even got its own private little garden for the kids to frolic around in with the occasional visit from the local wildlife. The main bedroom has got a double with a beautiful sea view balcony. A fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining area, braai facilities and sleeper couches add to the fun of the family getaway. Khaya Zinza: This opulent house offers three luxury suites with private balconies as well as a self-catering flat – all extremely comfortable and well-appointed for your every need.

The ground floor contains a fully equipped kitchen, braai area, outside patio and lounge area. Our surf-loving guests will appreciate the small steam room, wetsuit dryer and outside shower. On the second floor there is also a lounge for watching the waves with an unmatched view of the ocean, satellite television and Internet facilities.

The large main living area lounge and dining room entered through a carved front door are styled with African furniture and has a TV and full music system. Sit next to the indoor barbecue sipping a glass or three of South African wine gazing over the incomparable panoramic views – the beaches and ocean of St Francis Bay. Enjoy the schools of dolphins playing in the surf or the migrating whales and their calves Sep-Dec and, in the evenings, the glistening crescents of bobbing lights from the calamari fishing boats illuminated like a tiny floating village. 

At the rear of the house is a small contained back garden where there is a bar, table and stools. In the evening, as the sun sets behind the mountains this is the ideal spot to be, sheltered from the sea breezes. It’s a five minute stroll to the beach and a five minute car journey to the local shopping area, where there are supermarkets, a liquor store, surf shops and petrol station.
