Your hosts are Zdenek and Hilde Kucera. Zdenek is an accredited tourist guide and keen angler, who can point out the best angling spots. He also knows the weather, tides, phases of the moon and where to find the best bait. Hilde likes shell collecting, is a student of local flora, and makes quilts from South African fabrics. We both enjoy playing bridge at the local club. Between us we speak English, Czech, Afrikaans, and a smattering of Russian, German and Dutch.

Rooms feature quality linen and towels, tea and coffee-making facilities, TV, safe, and bar fridge and are serviced daily for guests’ convenience. Scrumptious breakfasts are served in our breakfast room with sea views, and we also offer a small stone chapel, ideal for intimate weddings or silent retreat.

Each of our eight en-suite bedrooms is individually decorated with a distinct and celebrated African sentiment, featuring private balconies with grandiose views of the world’s best right hand surf break – the famous Supertubes.

The Ocean Bay Luxury Guesthouse is a perfect blend of architectural shapes, antique furniture and individually styled modern interiors. Super tubes Guest House: This luxury Tuscan styled house offers six rooms, three rooms with private balcony and two rooms opening up in the garden, overlooking the ocean and passing dolphins. There is also one room without balcony and sea view, with a shower only, at a discounted rate.

The downstairs patio offers the opportunity to savor a uniquely South African barbeque with a panoramic view of the ocean in the background. Supertubes Self-catering House: The perfect self-catering house for that Idealic family getaway. This three bedroom, three bathroom house has even got its own private little garden for the kids to frolic around in with the occasional visit from the local wildlife. The main bedroom has got a double with a beautiful sea view balcony. A fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining area, braai facilities and sleeper couches add to the fun of the family getaway. Khaya Zinza: This opulent house offers three luxury suites with private balconies as well as a self-catering flat – all extremely comfortable and well-appointed for your every need.

The ground floor contains a fully equipped kitchen, braai area, outside patio and lounge area. Our surf-loving guests will appreciate the small steam room, wetsuit dryer and outside shower. On the second floor there is also a lounge for watching the waves with an unmatched view of the ocean, satellite television and Internet facilities.

The four bedrooms are different in design yet each has its own en-suite facilities, with large walk-in showers, heated towel rails and underfloor heating. Crisp white linen and fluffy towels. Each bedroom, lounge and dining room has its own panoramic views of the marina and canals.

Sunny lounge with sliding doors open onto the deck where you can enjoy breakfast on the sundeck and uninterrupted views of the canal while the children can play in the private pool. Fishing can be done from the deck while enjoying a roast on the gas braai.

On the first floor of the guest house there is a kitchen, dining area, lounge and barbecue facilities on the deck overlooking the ocean. We have additional barbecue facilities in our courtyard and a fire pit in the front garden for guests’ entertainment.
